The History Of Frost Lumber Company
Founded in 1882 by Henry W. Frost, Frost Lumber Company was established as a supply source for locally grown cypresses. We were strictly a “lumber yard”, handling only lumber and wood shingles.
Upon the death of Henry W. Frost in 1912, his son, Allen Frost, expanded the business into other lines, including hardware, paint, masonry products, and millwork. Allen retired in 1945 and his son, H.C. Frost, who had recently returned from active military duty oversees as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army during WWII, became president of the company. He served as president for the next 40 years. H.C.'s son, Cambron (Cam), is the fourth generation and current president of Frost Lumber Company. Cam's children, Alison and Matthew, are the fifth generation to be actively involved in the business.
